Haag-Streit UK are a UK-Swiss opthalmology company, specialising in opthalmic equipment for the NHS marketing sector. With leading-brand manufacturers and advanced computer software technology to enhance patient care, Haag-Streit UK embodies the precision, innovation and attention required to be at the top of their industry.

Brief

Glass Shed was asked to create a custom exhibition stand to serve as a launch pad for the new marketing strategy of the UK division. The Initial brief for the exhibition stand was to create a space which maximised Haag-Streit's presence, and to capitalise on sales opportunities at the show.

Challenge

The Exhibition stand design would be tailored for Haag-Streit's appearance at Optra Fair, held bi-annually at Birmingham's NEC, with a total footprint of 250sq m. This was just one aspect to be considered - the essence of the design had to also work at five other smaller-scale events around the country. With a budget of £80,000, the challenge was to achieve the desired impact, while keeping the cost within our set maximum of £400 per sq m.

Pitch

Area 1 - Haag-Streit wanted a retail space that was geared up to sell products directly from the stand. For this a dedicated shop, complete with checkout facilities, was designed, featuring a plethora of Point of Sale and Point of Purchase material plus an integrated secure storage space. Area 2 - The brief also specified the requirement for a corporate/product demonstration area. The new marketing strategy was to promote the 200 plus products through Haag-Streit's five core areas of business. This was addressed by using the strong corporate colour palette that Haag-Streit employs in all it's corporate communications, whenever a particular business sector requires clear emphasis.
