Client

i-control supply electronic Point of Sale systems, providing full back-up and maintenance services. They serve the retail market, specialising in the hotel and catering industry.

Brief

The requirement called for a bespoke stand, that could be re-used up to six times a year, and that would last for at least three years and serve the main objective of building the i-control brand. Space had to be allowed space for live demonstrations, which could number up to five going on simultaneously.

Challenge

One of the key challenges in this project was the issue of the demonstration booths. These had to be created in a 20sqm space, without dominating the visual identity of the stand.

Pitch

Early thinking - Creating a strong four metre high feature on the corner of the stand which included two booths became the early focus. This structure was to be topped with a rotating 'i' . The fact that we were the only company to provide a re-usable custom solution was a deciding factor in us being awarded the business.

Result

The result has been overwhelmingly positive, the high-quality materials and workmanship has allowed the stand to be used 16 times to date, with no current retirement scheduled. Product managers were thrilled with the result and considered the whole project to have been a complete success.
