Superclubs

Client

Superclubs are a client who operate all-inclusive holiday resorts at various locations across the Caribbean, who came to us with a requirement for an exhibition design to enhance their presence at trade shows.

Brief

Glass Shed, a company who have many year's experience in exhibition stand design, were commissioned to design a double decker stand with integral hospitality area covering 56 sq m. A reception area was also a requirement, together with four separate areas for meetings and general conversation. The theme was to have a very Caribbean flavour in order to convey the holiday atmosphere of the destinations in the Superclubs portfolio.

Challenge

To design exhibitions, space is always a critical consideration and this whole structure had to fit precisely within a 7x8m area.

Pitch

Early thinking - the first part of the exhibition stand design involved the creation of a double decker structure in order to separate out the hospitality area. Once this concept was approved, we set out to disguise the structural requirements of such a method. This was achieved by fabricating giant-sized cocktail glasses, an exhibition designers dream, neatly concealing the mechanics while enhancing the holiday theme.

Result

The client had the conviction to allow us to turn our exhibition stand designers loose on such an elaborate project. It's six meter height, gave it a conspicuous presence. A testament to its success is that it has now been used at many more exhibitions than had been originally envisaged and has been well received by all.
